This document must not be used in any w ay, such as copying and redistributing to third parties, w ithout our consent Step 7 If the problem persists, replace the sensor - Associated Parameters: Parameter Label Description DID Monitoring Engine Coolant temperature The global engine coolant temperature FE1B Temperature should be above 80 deg C when vehicle is run for minimum of 15 mins Verification condition: Soak the vehicle to the ambient temperature and then drive the vehicle in city and highway condition. Circuit Description: ECM detects engine coolant temperature via the engine coolant temperature sensor. The sensor modifies a voltage signal from ECM. The modified signal returns to ECM as the engine coolant temperature input. The sensor uses a thermistor which is sensitive to the change in temperature.
