Circuit Description: The Wide Range Air / Fuel (WRAF) sensor is used for the Air / Fuel ratio (AFR) closed loop control, correcting the fuel quantity depending on the measured AFR error. Therefore, a slow response rate of the WRAF sensor can have a large impact on the emissions The goal of this monitoring strategy is to measure the response time of the WRAF sensor and to set a fault when this response time becomes critical in terms of emission level or drivability or simply becomes insufficient for other diagnostics.
