If it is too low, refill and check - Step 5 Check for Leakage in High Pressure Circuit. Arrest it, if leaking - Step 6 Check if priming pump is loaded after 5-10 stokes - Step 7 If the priming pump is not loaded, check the priming pump for any leakage. Check for any leakage in low pressure circuit - Step 8 Check whether the fuel tank strainer is covered with dirt. Clean and refit it - Step 9 If the problem persists, perform injector backleak test and HP diagnostics test using Delphi DDS service tool If found abnormal, replace the injector Associated Parameters: Parameter Label Description DID Monitoring Main injection fuel demand chkd Main injection fuel demand. FE65 Ranges from 1 mg/st to 55 mg/st based on engine load IMV current demand IMV current demanded by the ECU FE14 “IMV current demand” and “Measured current in the IMV actuator” closely matches in normal operation. Measured current in the IMV actuator IMV current feedback to the ECU FE61 State of the rail pressure control State of the rail pressure control FE63 Rail pressure control state to be noted Rail pressure error Rail pressure error FE20 Error should be less than 100 bar for normal operation Rail pressure feedback Rail pressure sensor feedback FE1 A Rail pressure feedback to be noted Verification condition: 1. Drive the vehicle in highway condition for 15 mins. 2. Verify in normal idle to free acceleration in neutral gear. Component Details: Inlet Metering Unit (IMV) is used to control pressure inside the rail. The IMV delivers metered fuel quantity to high pressure pump. High-pressure pump delivers fuel to common rail. The IMV governing is done by ECU based on the demand to maintain the required rail pressure. The Rail Pressure Sensor is used to determine the actual rail pressure. That value is needed for high-pressure control, engine protection and injection control. The sensor is mounted on the rail.
