Diagnose the crank sensor input to EMS (Refer EMS service manual), is there a problem with crank sensor or crank sensor to EMS connection? Fix the problem on engine controller or engine speed sensor/speed sensor wiring harness. Go to step 2 2 If this issue is only reported in TCU, disconnect the vehicle side connector on TCU & connect it back again. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3 3 If issue persists, check wiring harness towards TCU. If damaged, replace the vehicle side transmission wiring harness. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. DTC’s confirmation:- After rectification, clear all DTC’s and ensure the following points by referring TCU parameters using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. • Drive the vehicle through all gears in both Automatic and Manual modes. • Ensure no DTC is active and Transmission Fault Lamp is OFF.
