TPMS Sensor Replacement Procedure using LF tool After performing all the necessary checks as per the troubleshooting guide, at wire harness, ECU functioning, ECU Parameter checks etc., and if no root cause is found, then TPMS sensor need to be replaced, then follow the below procedure: 3.1. Prerequisite for TPMS Sensor replacement: 1) TPMS Sensor to be replaced shall be available. 2) Check and verify part number of the TPMS Sensor. It shall be 550254709902. 3.2. Procedure for TPMS Sensor replacement: 1) Note down the Sensor ID written on Sensor Surface as shown in figure 2. 2) Locate the faulty TPMS Sensor on tire. 3) Remove the faulty TPMS Sensor/Valve. 4) Fix the new TPMS Sensor/Valve. 5) Fit the TPMS Sensor Valve on rim of wheel properly and fitted tightly as per instructions provided. 6) Write the Noted tire sensor ID in respective tire DID using diagnostic tool as shown in Figure 1. 7) Drive vehicle with speed greater than or equal to 40 kmph to trigger Sensor. 8) Check the customer reported fault, whether it is rectified. Note: For Multiple faulty Tires Operator need to follow above steps one tire at a time to avoid conflicts of interchanging between Sensor ID’s and Tires.
