Trouble Shooting:-

Step Checks

IF YES

IF NO

1.

Is the Brake Switch setting proper?

Go to step 2

Correct the setting

as per the Brake

switch TML

drawing

2.

Is there continuity exists between Main Brake switch pin X

and EMS ECU pin 135 && Main brake switch pin X and

battery supply.

Go to step 3

Rectify the wiring

harness

connections as per

the schematic

3.

Is there continuity exists between Brake redundant switch

pin X and EMS ECU pin 147 && redundant brake switch pin

X and Ignition supply.

Go to step 4

Rectify the wiring

harness

connections as per

the schematic

4.

Check whether EMS ECU pins 135 / 147 shorted to battery

supply / Ground

Go to step 5

Rectify the wiring

harness

connections as per

the schematic

Are there any pins damaged at EMS ECU Connector

Replace the

connector or wiring

harness

Go to step 6

Are there any pins backed out from the EMS ECU

Connector

Rectify/Replace

Connectors

Go to Step 7

Is Brake switch connector damaged or pins got backed out. Rectify/Replace

Connectors

Go to step 8

Is there any rust/oxidization observed on Accelerator Pedal

Sensor Terminals

Clean the Rust or

repair or replace

Go to Step 9

9.

Is there wiring harness electrical continuity between

ECUpins 121,138, 105 &Accelerator pedal Sensor 1

Sensor connector pins 4,2,3.

Go to Step 10

Establish continuity

by rectifying

harness

connections as per

the Circuit

schematic

10. Are there any pins damaged at Sensor/EMS ECU

Connector

Replace the

connector or wiring

harness

Go to step 11

11 Are there any pins backed out from the Sensor/EMS ECU

Connector

Rectify/Replace

Connectors

Go to Step 12

12 Is Sensor Supply Pin 138 Short Circuited to GND/Battery.

Repair the harness

as per the schematic Go to step 13

13 Is Sensor Signal Pin 121 Short Circuited to GND/Battery?

Repair the harness

as per the schematic Go to Step 14

14 Is Sensor physically Damaged

Replace Sensor

Go to Step 15

15 Fault Still Persists?

Replcae Sensor and

then Fault still

persists then

Replace EMS ECU

Follow the steps

again for

reconfirmation

DTC’s confirmation:-

After rectification, ensure the following points by referring engine parameters using TML diagnostic tool before

handing over to customer.

Turn the Ignition OFF and then turn it ON. Recheck the fault, Fault shall not reappear.
