ECU Internal
Customer Symptom
-
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Probable loss of power and black smoke
Lamp Status (If Any)
-
Fault Detection Condition (Root cause)
This fault gets logged if the signal of the Atmospheric
pressure sensor mounted on the EMS ECU is short circuited
to Ground.

separate hardware pins assigned to Atmospheric Pressure signal in wiring harness. EMS uses the atmospheric pressure
information for correction of air fuel ratio at higher altitudes.
Preliminary Checks
x
Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned above. If
yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.
x
Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to
earlier issue closure.
Check whether the EMS ECU is getting power supply and GND. Rectify wiring Harness as
per the schematic if found faulty
x
Check whether the Main relay is faulty. Rectify/Replace if found main relay is faulty.
x
If fault still persists then Call Hot Line
