Trouble Shooting:

Step Checks

IF YES

IF NO

1.

Is there wiring harness electrical continuity between ECU

pin 79 & Fan relay pin X. Also Check continuity between

the Main Relay supply and the Fan relay Coil pin X and

Battery Supply to Relay contact pin X.

Go to Step 3

Establish continuity

by rectifying

harness

connections as per

the circuit

schematic

2. Are there any pins damaged at EMS ecu Connector

Replace the

connector or wiring

harness

Go to step 4

Are there any pins backed out from the EMS ecu Connector Rectify / Replace

Connectors

Go to Step 5

4

Is relay getting Supply at its pin XX

Go to Step 6

Repair the harness

as per the

schematic

Is Fan Relay control Pin 79, Short circuited to Battery

supply?

Repair the harness

as per the schematic Go to Step 7

Is fan Properly Working or stalled

Rectify / Replace

Fan

Go to Step 8

Fault Still Persists?

Replace relay and

then if Fault still

persists then Call

Hot Line

Follow the steps

again for

reconfirmation

DTC’s confirmation (checks before handing over vehicle to customer):

x

Perform Actuator test for high speed fan and visually check that fan is operating.

x

When vehicle is soaked for 8 hours and Engine is cranked keeping AC off then Cooling fans will be in Off

condition.

x

If any faults present, then rectify the faults. Confirm that there are no faults logged by EMS before handing over

the vehicle to customer.
