x
Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to
earlier issue closure.
x
Loose/ Damaged Connections between injector cylinder 2 and EMS ecu.
x
Check for back out of pins at both Injector cylinder 2 connector and ECU connector.
x
Check for damage of pins at both injector cylinder 2 connector and ECU connector.
x
Check the continuity from injector cylinder 2 connector pins to the ECU pins.
Trouble Shooting:
Step Checks
IF YES
IF NO
1 Check the Injector Connector for any damage
Replace connector
Go to step 2
2.
Is there any dirt or Rust on Connector
Remove the
connector and clean
it and refit it tightly
Go to Step 3
3
Perform the Injector cylinder 1 actuator test. Is the test
successful
Go to step 4
Some problem in
Wiring harness
connections
4.
Check the continuity between the EMS ecu pin 63 and
connector pin 2. Check the continuity between the injector
connector pin 1 and EMS ECU pin 7. Is continuity test
successful
Go to step 5
Establish continuity
by rectifying wiring
harness
connections as per
the schematic.
5.
Is the Injector connector pin 1 short circuited to
battery/Ground? Perform this test by keeping Ignition Off.
Go to Step 6
Rectify Wiring
Harness
connections as per
the schematic
6.
Check whether the Injector LSD pin 63 is short circuited to
EMS ecu pin 7?
Rectify Wiring
Harness
connections as per
the schematic
Go to step 7
7
Is the resistance between the Injector 1 and EMS ecu less
than 1 ohm?
Go to Step 8
Replace the
Injector 1 wiring
Harness
8. Is the resistance across the injector terminals less than
12.25 ohms?
Go to Step 9
Replace the
Injector of cylinder
1
9.
Check whether any injector pins are backed out at ECU
Connector or Injector connector
Rectify the
connections
Go to Step 10
10
Is there any physical damage to Injector connector / ECU
Connector
Replace the
respective
connectors
Go to step 11
11
If the fault still persists
Replace the EMS
ecu
Repeat the above
procedure for
reconfirmation
