Trouble Shooting:

Step Checks

IF YES

IF NO

1.

Check water in fuel sensor connector is connected to the

sensor or not

Go to step 2

Connect the WIF

sensor connector to

sensor.

2.

Is there continuity exists between WIF sensor pin 1and

EMS ECU pin 74 && WIF sensor pin 2 and EMS ECU pin

59.

Go to step 3

Rectify the wiring

harness

connections as per

the schematic

3.

Check electrical continuity of wiring harness between ECU

and water in fuel sensor as per circuit schematics. correct if

necessary

Go to step 4

Rectify the wiring

harness

connections as per

the schematic

4.

Check whether EMS ECU pin 74 shorted to Battery or open

circuited?

Go to step 5

Rectify the wiring

harness

connections as per

the schematic

Are there any pins damaged at EMS ECU Connector

Replace the

connector or wiring

harness

Go to step 6

Are there any pins backed out from the EMS ECU

Connector

Rectify/Replace

Connectors

Go to Step 7

Is WIF sensor switch connector damaged or pins got

backed out.

Rectify/Replace

Connectors

Go to step 8

If fault still persists,

then replace sensor

and if fault still

persists then call

hotline

Follow the above

procedure again for

reconfirmation

DTC’s confirmation (checks before handing over vehicle to customer):

x

Drain Sedimentor contents in a bowl and check for water presence in diesel; If water is present; drain complete

fuel from Sedimentor and fuel filter

x

Check the errors at Ignition ON, engine running @ Idle & Fly-up with different vehicle speeds also

x

If error present, then rectify the errors. Confirm that there are no errors logged in EMS before handing over

vehicle to customer
