Trouble Shooting:
Step Checks
IF YES
IF NO
1.
Check whether the Rotary Drive Mode switch contacts are
stuck in closed condition
Rectify/Replace the
switch
Go to next step

Check whether the Drive Mode rotary switch is physically
damaged
Rectify / Replace the
Switch
Go to next step
3
Check the continuity between the EMS ecu pin 32 and
Rotary switch connector pin x. Also check the continuity
between EMS ECU pin 68 and rotary switch connector pin
X.
Go to next step
Establish continuity
as per the circuit
schematic.
5.
Check whether the EMS ecu pin 32/ 68 is short circuited to
Ground.
Rectify the wiring
harness connections
as per the schematic
Go to step 6
6.
Fault still persists?
Replace economy
mode switch. IF fault
still persists then
Call hot line
Confirm the above
procedure for fault
Rectification.
DTC’s confirmation:
After rectification, ensure the following points by referring engine parameters using TML diagnostic tool before handing
over to customer.

Turn the Ignition OFF and then turn it ON. Recheck the fault, Fault shall not reappear.
