P0532: AC Refrigerant Pressure Sensor A Circuit Low
Overview:
DTC Description as per ISO Standard
AC refrigerant Pressure Sensor A Circuit Low
Customer Symptom
AC will not function
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
AC Compressor will not be engaged by EMS
Lamp Status (If Any)
-
Fault Detection Condition
This fault gets logged if the AC pressure sensed by EMS ecu
is less than 2 bar.
Normal Operating Condition
AC refrigerant pressure will be in the range of 2 to 30 bar.
Probable Trouble Area
Wiring harness connections between EMS and AC pressure
sensor, AC pipes damaged, AC gas not filled in, EMS ECU.
Healing Condition
Clear the errors, Ignition OFF to ON, engine idle, fly-up and
specially vehicle running in different speed condition
Component Details:
The air conditioning system is pressurized with a gas known as a refrigerant. The refrigerant flows through the lines in the
air conditioning system to remove heat and moisture from the interior of your vehicle. It circulates it through the
condenser, which disperses the heat into the air. The refrigerant is pressurized in the air conditioning system to operate
properly, and it is monitored by the refrigerant pressure sensor. Based on the AC refrigerant pressure, EMS controls the
AC Compressor and Cooling Fans.
Preliminary Checks:
x
Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned above. If
yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.
x
Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to earlier
issue closure.
x
Leak in the AC pipes which circulates the refrigerant? Is so, rectify / replace.
x
AC gas filled in? If not fill in.
x
AC Pressure Sensor / its connector damaged? If so, rectify / replace
x
Loose/ Damaged Connections between AC Pressure Sensor and EMS ECU.
x
Check for back out of pins at both AC Pressure Sensor connector and ECU connector.
x
Check for damage of pins at both AC Pressure sensor connector and ECU connector.
