1 Objective
The objective of the document is to define the process to be followed whenever an ECU to be replaced or
re-flashed with new ECU software version or new software calibration version.
This document will guide the service person/technician to correctly follow the ECU flashing procedure
whenever an old ECU to be re-flashed and any new ECU part to be fitted.
It will also avoid the situation where vehicle failed to start due to the wrong procedure followed by
technician while EMS flashing.
2 Scope of the Document
This document covers the flashing procedure to be followed in below condition:
¾ ECU replaced with fresh/Virgin ECU OR same ECU to be re-flashed with new/same software
version.
