B1926 -11 : PDC Activation Switch Input - Short to Ground

Overview:

Write up for the Related system:-

PDC Activation Switch – This module is used to activate Park Assist function in vehicle.

Trouble Shooting:-

Below given flowcharts guides to troubleshoot the fault:

Customer Symptom

1. User cannot activate/ deactivate Park Assist

using Activation switch.

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

User cannot activate/ deactivate Park Assist using

activation switch.

Lamp Status (If Any)

Not Applicable

Fault Detection Condition

1. User cannot activate/deactivate using PDC

Activation switch.

2. This DTC gets logged when connection

between PDC ECU and PDC Fascia switch is

short to GND.

3. PDC switch is in stuck condition.

Normal Operating Condition

When user presses PDC Activation switch, Park assist

gets activated with LED ON indication and user can

see park assist screen in Head Unit.

Probable Trouble Area

Wiring harness between PDC ECU and PDC

Fascia Activation Switch.

PDC Activation Switch Stuck in pressed

condition in fascia switch.

Fascia switch becomes faulty.
