B192A – 23: Proximity Sensor Rear Mid RH Failure – Signal Stuck to Low

Overview:

Write up for sensor:-

Rear Mid-Right Sensor – This sensor is placed on mid-right side of rear bumper. In park assist

function, sensors are used to determine proximity of an obstacle in a warning zone with respect to

rear bumper.

Trouble Shooting:-

Below given flowcharts guides to troubleshoot the fault:

Customer Symptom

When user activates Park assist using Reverse

gear/PDC Fascia Switch/HU, Park assist functionality

will not be available and “critical fault” Screen will be

displayed on HU.

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Park Assist functionality will not available to the user.

Lamp Status (If Any)

No

Fault Detection Condition

1. When user activates Park assist using

Reverse gear/PDC Fascia Switch/HU, Park

assist functionality will not be available and

critical fault will be displayed on HU.

2. This DTC gets logged when rear mid right

sensor signal is stuck to low.

Normal Operating Condition

When user activates park assist, sensor sends the

obstacle audio and visual zone information to the

Head Unit.
