Standalone Diagnosis Data:-
Injectors:
The injector is an indirect electrically driven valve (nozzle) that sprays high pressure fuel in an engine combustion
chamber. The fuel delivery is a function of the pressure at the nozzle seat.
The fuel injector is solenoid ball valve, top feed with a 2 pin connector. The solenoid valve normally closed by a ball
and a cone seat, Opens when the electromagnetic core is energized. Fuel under pressure in common rail flows
through metering orifice, where fine atomization of the fuel takes place and flows consistently for a given injector
Opening time.
The injector which is normally in closed position, receives drive signal from ECU to Open for a given pulse width (few
milli
seconds), depending on the engine operating conditions.
Functional Characteristics:-
A:- Pressure Range:-
Min operating pressure:- The injector starts to inject at an inlet pressure above 150 bar
Max normal operating pressure:- The maximum nominal operating inlet pressure under normal conditions is 1600 bar.
Max peak operating pressure:- The injector is able to endure up to 2100 bar inlet pressure for 10 hours and the
injector characteristics remain within original tolerances when a normal operating pressure is used after this condition.
