5.

Remedial Action for part replacement with Logistics:

5.1.

If one E-Key is lost /faulty (vehicle is starting with other E-key).

Customer informs dealer with Key-Tag no.

Dealer orders spare E-key to SPD with “Key-Tag no.”

a.

SPD prepares E-key from blank E-keys on key duplicating m/c

b.

SPD sends spare E-key to dealer

E-Key Learning Activities:

a.

Dealer calls customer with his vehicle

b.

Pre-requisites:

i.

Blank E-key with matched mechanical biting (received from dealer/SPD with the

help of key tag no.)

ii.

Original E-key (1 no.).

iii.

Diagnostic tester for immobilizer.

c.

Learn the new key by using the diagnostic tester –

Refer the key learning procedure –

section 6.1.

d.

Tests vehicle with original & new E-keys, Return vehicle back to customer

5.2.

If both E-Keys are lost /faulty

Customer informs dealer with Key-Tag no (if key number is known for sure with customer).

Dealer sends either key tag number provided by customer (if received from customer) or

number punched on lockset (from which key tag number can be identified) while ordering spare

E-key to SPD

a.

SPD sends data received from dealer to supplier while ordering spare E-keys.

b.

SPD receives E-keys from supplier

c.

SPD sends spare E-keys to dealer

E-Key Learning Activities:

a.

Dealer calls customer with his vehicle

b.

Pre-requisites:

i.

Blank E-key with matched mechanical biting (received from dealer/SPD with the

help of key tag no.)

ii.

Diagnostic tester for immobilizer.

c.

Learn the new key by using the diagnostic tester –

Refer the key learning procedure -

section 6.2.

d.

Test & confirm vehicle with new E-keys, Return vehicle back to customer

5.3.

If Immobilizer is replaced

Dealer order the new immobilizer from SPD & receives same.

Dealer fits the immobilizer on lockset.

Learn the existing E-keys automatically (Refer section “

Automatic Transponder key learning with

Immobilizer” section 6.3)

Pair EMS & Immobilizer (Refer “Procedure for EMS & Immo pairing” section 7).

Test & confirm vehicle with new E-keys, Return vehicle back to customer
