Check for damage to LV wiring harness connections between VCU and sensor 2. Visually inspect sensor for damage Trouble Shooting: - Step No. Description Check point If Yes If No 1. Switch Vehicle to Ignition ON Mode Check for the fault code using TML diagnostic tool. If P3003 -12 is present? Go to Step 2 Check if any other fault related to P3003 is present. 2. Check for the power supply of accelerator pedal sensor. Check if Accelerator pedal sensor pin 2 (Connector C295- pin 2) has supply voltage 5V and Accelerator pedal sensor Pin 3 (Connector C295- pin 3) is ground. Go to Step 3 Check for the connections 3. Switch vehicle Ignition OFF. Vehicle is in Ignition OFF mode? Go to step 4 Go to step 3 4. Check whether there is internal short in sensor Check if there is continuity between accelerator pedal sensor’s input pin 4 and accelerator pedal sensor’s supply pin 2. (Refer pin diagram) Problem is in the accelerator pedal sensor. Action: Replace the sensor and Go to step 1. Go to Step 5 5. Check whether there is short in sensor inputs pin to LV battery Supply Check if there is continuity between accelerator pedal sensor’s input pin 4 (Connector C295 Pin-4) and LV battery supply. (Refer schematic for details) Continuity present? Problem is in the harness Action: Repair the harness and Go to step 1. Go to Step 6.
