Customer Symptom

Engine Restricted Performance

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Vehicle will operate with reduced power from Engine

Lamp Status (If Any)

Fuel Filter Clogging lamp will turn ON

Fault Detection Condition

This DTC gets logged if EMS detects the Fuel filter clogging condition

Normal Operating Condition

Fuel Filter clogging condition not detected by EMS

Probable Trouble Area

Fuel Filter , Wiring Harness connections between Fuel Filter clogging sensor &

ECM, LP Fuel lines leak / clog

Healing Condition

Clear the errors, Ignition OFF to ON, engine idle & fly-up condition

Component Details:

Fuel Filter clogging switch / sensor is connected to EMS for detecting the fuel filter clogging condition.

Preliminary Checks

Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned above. If

yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.

Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to

earlier issue closure. Check for pin back out at EMS ecu connector or Fuel Filter Clog Sensor connector.

Check for connector damages at EMS ECU & Fuel Filter clogging sensor. If found rectify / replace

x

Check for blockages / leaks in Low Pressure fuel circuit.

Check for clogging in Fuel Filter
