Fault Detection Condition

IC shall display OAT as ‘---‘ deg.C.

Normal Operating Condition

IC shall display OAT value & Operating range is b/w -40 to 85

Deg.

Probable Trouble Area

Related wiring Harness, connector or terminals damaged

IPC connector wired wrong,

Harness wire shorted,

Sensor connector wired wrong,

Sensor damaged.

Healing Condition

IC shall recover from open/short condition after receiving valid

values for 20s or Ignition On/Off.

Component Details:-

OAT Sensor - This sensor gives direct resistive input to the Cluster

the temperature changes in Outside

environment. Refer below table for resistance Vs temperature mapping.
