U0028 - 88: Vehicle Communication Bus A-Bus off

Customer Symptom
No warning lamp, No heavy steering
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Default assistance
Lamp Status (If Any)
Warning lamp OFF
Fault Detection Condition
1. Short circuit between CAN_H -CAN_L, CAN_H -GND,
CAN_L-Vbatt, CANL-GND, CANH-Vbatt.
2. In case of following open circuit failures:
1. CANH wire open (Vehicle connector pin3)
2. CANL wire open (Vehicle connector pin1)
3. Both CANH, CANL open
Note: in case of Bus off DTC logged due to open circuit
failure, only PSCM lamp will be ON.
Normal Operating Condition
ECU communicates properly with TML diagnostic Tool.
Probable Trouble Area
CAN_H and CAN_L wires
Healing Condition
Removal of the above-mentioned shorts/open in the wiring
harness or at ECU pin.
