Customer Symptom

Vehicle will not function as per design intent

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Vehicle will not function as per design intent

Lamp Status (If Any)

CE Lamp ON after 1 cycle

Fault Detection Condition

This fault gets logged if the variant code is not written

for CWWRTERCNT

ignition cycles

Normal Operating Condition

Vehicle Variant Coding activity will be successful

Probable Trouble Area

Variant Coding not performed at EOL station

Healing Condition

After 1 drive cycles of fault rectification

Perform the variant coding activity. Is Activity Successful?

Go to step 3

Go to step 2

Check whether the EOL tool is sending the information

properly to EMS ecu && the variant coding written into the

EMS ecu is aligned to the vehicle variant?

Go to Step 3

Replace EOL tool /

Wite proper variant

code into the EMS

ecu

If the fault still persists?

Replace EMS ecu

Repeat the above

procedure for fault

confirmation

DTC’s confirmation:-

After rectification, ensure the following points by referring engine parameters using TML diagnostic tool before

handing over to customer.

Clear the DTC, Turn OFF the ignition and then turn it ON. Read the DTC’s. Ensure that fault shall not reappeared.
