Trouble Shooting:

Step Checks

IF YES

IF NO

1.

Is there any rust/oxidization / Sulphation observed on

Battery Terminals

Clean the Rust or

repair.

Go to Step 2

2. Is there wiring harness electrical continuity between ECU

pins 12,31 & main Relay supply.

Go to Step 3

Establish continuity

by rectifying

harness

connections as per

the circuit

schematic

3. Are there any pins damaged at EMS ECU Connector

Replace the

connector or wiring

harness

Go to step 4

Are there any pins backed out from the EMS ECU

Connector

Rectify/Replace

Connectors

Go to Step 5

5

Is Alternator functioning

Go to Step 6

Repair / Replace

Are EMS ECU pins 12/31 Short circuited to GND.

Repair the harness

as per the schematic Go to Step 7

Is Rectifiers in Alternator functioning properly?

Repair / Replace

Go to Step 8

Fault Still Persists?

Call Hot Line

Follow the steps

again for

reconfirmation

DTC’s confirmation (checks before handing over vehicle to customer):-

Confirmatory check after rectification - Check battery voltage in diagnostic tool at engine idle condition

Reading should be close to 12 V if alternator is not charging.

x

Reading should be close to 14 V if alternator is charging

x

Rectify the errors if any & confirm that no any error present in ECU before handed over vehicle to customer
