P1107: Atmospheric Pressure Signal - Generic Fault
Overview:
DTC Description as per ISO standard
Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit
Global Fault
ECU Pin Number
ECU Internal
Customer Symptom
Engine restricted performance
Probable loss of power and black smoke
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Disables EGR by setting desired rate to 0. This will affect
EGRH rate, EGRL rate, Throttle, Intake manifold
pressure and boost pressure.
Reduced torque mode is activated
Lamp Status (If Any)
CE & MIL lamp is on
Fault Detection Condition (Root cause)
This DTC Atmospheric pressure sensor - generic gets logged
due to faults raised on atmospheric sensor (P0107, P0108,
P0109)
Normal Operating Condition
No faults related to atmospheric pressure sensor
Probable Trouble Area
Atmospheric Pressure Sensor mounted on EMS ecu
Related wiring Harness, connector or terminals
EMS ecu
Component Details:
Atmospheric Pressure Sensor is mounted inside ECU; it gives the Atmospheric Pressure signal to ECU internally. No
separate hardware pins assigned to Atmospheric Pressure signal in wiring harness. EMS uses the atmospheric pressure
information for correction of air fuel ratio at higher altitudes.
.
Preliminary Checks
x
Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned above. If
yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s pre
sence.
x
Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to
earlier issue closure.
x
Check whether the EMS ECU is getting power supply and GND. Rectify wiring Harness as per the schematic if
found faulty
