Fault Detection Condition
This DTC gets logged if EMS ECU intake air temperature 2 (Boost
Temperature) input pin 73 gets short circuited to Battery supply
Normal Operating Condition
Proper wiring harness connections between Intake Air Temperature sensor 2
(Boost Temperature Sensor) and EMS ECU
Probable Trouble Area
Wiring Harness connections between Boost Pressure & Temperature sensor to
EMS ECU, Boost Temperature Sensor, EMS ECU
Healing Condition
Clear the errors, Ignition OFF to ON, engine idle & fly-up condition
Component Details:
Boost Temperature sensor is a NTC sensor which provides the Boost air temperature to EMS ECU
Preliminary Checks

Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned above. If
yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.

Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to
earlier issue closure.

Check for Damage in EMS ECU connector / Boost Pressure & Temperature sensor connector.
x
Check for any back out of pins at EMS ECU connector / Boost Pressure & Temperature sensor connector.
x
Check for any damage of pins at EMS ECU connector / Boost Pressure & Temperature sensor connector.
