C1315 - 54: Steering angle calibration – Missing calibration

Customer Symptom
Active return and end stop disabled
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Assistance available.
Active return and End stop disabled
Lamp Status (If Any)
Warning Lamp ON
Fault Detection Condition
Active return (Comfort function) and end stop disabled as
PSCM steering is not calibrated.
Normal Operating Condition
PSCM should provide assist if steering wheel is steered after
engine is cranked. Normal operating range:
ECU will awake from 6V to 18V.
Full assistance is b/w 10V to 16V
Reduced assistance is b/w 8.7V to 10V
Probable Trouble Area
PSCM Steering angle is not calibrated

Component Details:
Steering angle sensor - It measures changes in the steering geometry between the steering wheel and the road wheels.
Steering angle sensor calibration permanently stores the current steering wheel position as the straight-ahead position in
the steering angle sensor memory.
